You came a little early this year. A little over eager are we? You know I am one of your biggest fan, but all in the proper time and place. End of October, the height of the Autumn season, is not your time. Please refrain yourself, have some patience, and come when you are suppose to. Fall is Fall and you are not invited. You see, the trees were so not ready yet. Some of their leaves hadn't even changed, much less fallen to the ground. Then you had to go and dump on them and pull many a branch and whole tree down with your weight. My poor Central Park looks worst than it did after the hurricane with all these saddly fallen trees. Not to mention that many a section of it is still covered by you. I do not approve of your actions, and kindly request that you change your ways and do not come back until Winter.
Sincerely,
Can't wait to see you in December

Dear iPod,
Well done this morning. Your selection of songs during my run was absolutely perfect and kept me going. Also, the fact the you started playing Marc Anthony's "Rain on Me" the exact moment it started to rain was absolutely fantastic and made my entire run that much more awesome. I'm proud of you today.
Sincerely,

Dear Husband To Be,
Did you know I love to be carried? I'm a huge proponent of being lifted and swept away to wherever I need. If I asked would you carry me across the street? I'm not saying this is a deal breaker or anything if you don't, it just would be nice if its not too much trouble.
Should you like to be carried too, I think I could manage that if needed.
Love,
Just waiting to be carried

Dear New York Skyline,
That view at sunset last night was magical. I feel it was the perfect cohesive moment of man's design out for display and God decided to highlight it. I couldn't stop staring. No picture will ever do justice to seeing it firsthand. I'd be okay if you looked like that every night.
Sincerely,
Never fails to be amazed by a view

Dear Girl Who Thinks Tights are Pants,
They're not. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the tights style that has come, and believe tights with dresses works fantastic. I'm even a fan of leggings and the in-between-is-it-a-long-shirt-or-a-short-dress look if you have the legs to pull it off. However, your shirt that happen to bare your midriff and then just a pair of tights was not attractive. Or appropriate. And they were lace tights no less! In white. What were you thinking? There was nothing working for you there. Did you just forget the skirt? You appeared as though you were on your way to work. While I commend your pursuit of a career, that outfit could not possibly be deemed professional in any environment. Please find some dignity and a mirror. Or a honest friend who would have told you.
Sincerely,

Dear Dad,
Remember how growing up you would always get after us, your darling children, for leaving the lights on around the house? I'm recalling epic light switch tirades in which you would stomp around turning off all the lights left on and then mutter to yourself how unnecessary all these lights were. Well, I'll have you know, I am now you. I'm the girl who will get up off the couch to turn the kitchen light off whilst simultaneously staring down the roommate who subsequently left said light on. I'm known now here in 4N as the one who always makes sure the lights are off. Its become almost a running joke with the roomies. I don't know whether to be upset or to thank you for passing this neurotic, yet money saving trait to me. But needless to say, I get it now.
Thoughtfully,
Your becoming-more-like-you-with-each-passing-day daughter

Dear Streets of New York,
That rat that walked along side me today was not particularly pleasant to see. I always hear of the rats of New York, but never actually see them. I don't find I enjoy you showing me the darker side of the city as of late. Please be better and shun me from such things.
Respectfully,
A New Resident

Dear Husband to Be,
You will be funny. You will make me laugh. Other people don't have to think you're funny, but I do. Otherwise this whole for life and all eternity thing won't really work out for me. I'm basically banking on the fact that this will be us.
Okay? Be excited.
Love,
Me.

Dear Central Park,
That dog today, who stood in the rain in a little yellow dog rain coat happened to be beyond adorable. I had to stop my run and stare at his adorableness. Why doesn't every dog have a rain coat? It should be mandatory. Also, the rain this morning making the leaves fall around me as I ran made me feel as though I was in an Autumn Wonderland. It was truly magical. Thank you for that moment.

Dear New York,
Why is it that when I want the sun you bring me rain, and when I want the rain you give me sun? Clearly I think we could work together so I am always pleased with situation going on outside. It wouldn't be too hard right? I'm not asking for a lot here, just constant delight when I look out the window. It would help me greatly in my day to day fashion choices. But this weekend can you please be sunny? I've got places to be and pictures to take, and the sun would help a lot.
Sincerely,

Dear Grad School,
Wasn't the point of you so I did not have to do the-memorize-a-million-objects exams like in undergrad anymore. Shouldn't we be above this?

Dear Central Park,
Your trees have fruit? The apple one dropped right close to my head made a very loud thunk. Too close a call to what would have been a very painful moment. Please don't be dropping your apples next to me again. Thanks.

Dear Autumn,
Where'd you go? You were here, it was wonderful. Now you left again and the stupid hot humid air has returned. I desperately want to wear my hoodie and boots and am forced to be in shorts and a t-shirt to survive in my apartment. Its not very fun. Please, please come back.

Dear Punks Who Stole My Phone,
I hate you. I hope you sell it and get high from the drugs you buy and then get hit by a car. Too harsh? Oh well.
